Embrace Europe - Stakeholder's meeting
1:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Beethovenstraat 400, Amsterdam, Netherlands
We hereby invite you to the Embrace Europe’s stakeholder meeting.
Embrace Europe is a European integration awareness campaign and movement co-initiated by citizens with Dutch and migrant backgrounds to encourage mutual appreciation and an honest dialogue aimed at creating a more economically and socially inclusive Europe. Currently, Europe is unfortunately witnessing a backlash from individuals and governments who are afraid their societies are changing for the worse.
Embrace Europe wants to focus on changing this perception and be at the forefront of a positive campaign, led by those who have recently moved to Europe together with second and third generation immigrants and native citizens. In partnership with stakeholders, including organisations, academics and foundations, Embrace will collectively develop and create positive, systemic change so that integration in Europe can be embraced and made more inclusive for all.
A steering committee was established in November 2018 initiated by One Family Foundation where representatives from all over The Netherlands (both with native and migrant backgrounds) are volunteering and participating in order to make this movement a reality. Deedmob, an online platform community for volunteering that represents more than 1,500 organisations, is part of the steering group and will help mobilise volunteers for the Embrace Europe movement.
Embrace aims to initiate positive change in the world through promoting sharing. We believe you as a stakeholder should have ownership over your own change efforts through co-creation. To strengthen the movement, we are inviting you to discuss the planned launch of Embrace on 9 May 2019 at a special stakeholder meeting. We will invite corporations, NGOs, academics and grassroots organisations to join the meeting and the campaign.
We hope that you and your organisation would like to do your part and join the movement to Embrace Europe now!
