Volunteer Mentor

Youth Work
Talking to others

ReachOut are looking for volunteers to join us a mentor on our projects to work with our young people on a one-to-one basis for up to 2 hours a week.

We run weekly projects that run after school, at the schools our young people attend. The sessions are 2 hours, where you will do a mixture of one-to-one, character and group activities. As a mentor you will work with the same young person each week, helping them develop their character, improve their academic and social confidence, and raise their aspirations.

We have 2 projects: Club and Academy.

Club runs from October to March, Monday to Thursday, 3:30-5:30pm

Academy runs from September to June, Mondays to Thursdays, 6-8pm.

The steps are: sign up to mentor > go to one-off training session > apply for DBS > choose a project > start mentoring!
