ReachOut are looking for volunteers to join us for up to 2 hours a week as a mentor to young people in need of a positive role model!
We run weekly after school clubs for secondary and primary school students. Our projects are fun, engaging and make a real difference to the young people we work with they combine discussion activities, games, goal setting and more! As a mentor you will work with the same young person every week, helping them to develop their character, improve their academic and social confidence and raise their aspirations.
As a ReachOut mentor you will be making a real difference to young people in your local community, you will watch your mentee grow in confidence, and gain skills which they can take into their life outside ReachOut. You will also be able to develop a whole range of skills including leadership, communication and team work. You will also make friends with the other mentors in your group and feel like part of your community!
We run 2 different projects, ReachOut Club and ReachOut Academy. ReachOut Club runs in primary schools from October-March between 3.30 and 5pm. ReachOut Academy runs in secondary schools from September-June between 6 and 7.30pm. All of our projects are currently running online but we are hoping to run face-to-face session in schools when it becomes safe to do so!
If this sounds like the perfect volunteering opportunity for you then we would love to work with you!
