Looking for guidance at lunch and one-on-one moment with young people
The Boemerang in Hilversum guides a group of 7 young people with severe multiple disabilities and a low developmental age. The permanent supervisors notice that the lunch and the time thereafter is rush hour and we therefore seek support from a few volunteers. Can you free up some time on Tuesday, Thursday or Friday to give a young person that extra bit of attention?
Working hours: in consultation, on Tuesday, Thursday and / or Friday, approximately between 11 a.m. and 2.30 p.m.
Special Conditions: Affinity with people with disabilities. Open and easy to contact, being able to take initiative to help and having the patience to let the young person work at his / her own pace.
Training method and guidance: An introduction takes place where you check whether this volunteer vacancy suits you. If you decide to assist us with this, you work together with an enthusiastic team of permanent activity supervisors.
Sherpa is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers. How often you meet depends on you. Some like to go to the local market together every week, others agree on a monthly basis. The employees of the Social Deployment Office listen to your wishes, hobbies and interests and put them next to the questions of the clients. That way we always look for the perfect match!
