TomTom x Zonnebloem | Volunteer Week 2019
On Friday, November 29, we will team up with Zonnebloem to take out elderly people and people with physical disabilities for a visit in the National Maritime Museum (Het Scheepvaartmuseum). As pioneers in mapmaking, this museum is a great to discover. Fun fact: our co-founder Peter-Frans Pauwels actually sponsored the renovation of two atlases in the museum earlier this year.
What can you help with?
Accompany Zonnebloem participants in the museum and have a chat with them. A day out to a nice location is not a given for everyone. Certainly not for those with a physical disability. Thanks to you, that day could be an unforgettable day.
Please note: If you are an English-speaking employee, be sure to sign up with a Dutch colleague who can help you with interacting with the Zonnebloem participant. If you are a Dutch-speaking employee, you can sign up either with an English-speaking colleague or a Dutch-speaking one.
12:30 – TomTom’ers meet in front of the Amsterdam ODE office to go to the National Maritime Museum
12:45 – Arrival of TomTom'ers at the museum
13:00 – Arrival of Zonnebloem participants and volunteers
13:15 – Coffee with pastries
A nice moment to get to know each other before visiting the location.
14:00 – Discover the National Maritime Museum
16:00 – Closing drink
16:30 – End of the volunteering day
All the fun comes to an end... Time to say goodbye.
