Detailed description

“The last of human freedoms is one’s ability to choose one’s attitude in a given set of circumstances.”

--Viktor Frankl, psychiatrist, Holocaust survivor, and author of Man’s Search for Meaning

2020 has been a long year, and so many of us are feeling the strain - the strain of a months-long pandemic that has changed the entire world; the strain of tough and uncertain economic times; the strain of the crazy news we see each day online and on television. So many of us at this point are tired and frustrated; emotionally we are yearning to move on from COVID-19, but the reality of the situation makes that impossible.

With no end in sight, how do we stay mentally and physically healthy during these challenging times? How can we remain strong and manage our energy to help us stay strong in the coming months?

"Gentle Resilience" is the answer. Gentle resilience is an important concept in self-care: Not the push or pull of a super hero trying to keep it all together, nor the jaw-clenching smile of a martyr, but a learned skill designed to nourish us, to help us create boundaries, to connect us with our inner strength and energy, and to fill us with trust - both in ourselves and in humankind.

Four VTH's 4th FREE webinar, we want to learn more about this topic as a way to revitalize ourselves as we head into the darker days of autumn. Join us on Tuesday, 27 October for Gentle Resilience: Staying Strong in Challenging Times, with business coaches Manuela Damant and Dovile Corrigan of Azkua. During this insightful and uplifting hour, Manuela and Dovile will introduce you to the concept of gentle resilience and how it can find its home in your life too.

By participating in this webinar you will:

  • Be introduced to empowering archetypes designed to combat four common disempowering archetypes
  • Understand how your talents can either boost your energy or drain it
  • Learn tools to grow your gentle resilience
  • Understand how actionable activities such as volunteering can boost your confidence and resilience

Following Manuela and Dovile's presentation, there will be time for Q&A. Volunteer The Hague is proud to present this webinar in support of the international community here in The Hague. Our webinar series is brought to you through a partnership with the Helping Hands Project and NL Cares. Presented in English, we invite local expats and internationals to attend. And if you'd like, please feel free to invite a friend or two to register for this fun, insightful, and FREE webinar! Space is very limited, so please hurry and register.
